The place we call home – My Sunday photo

I’ve been pretty rubbish this year at joining up with #mysundayphoto but I want to start up again. What better way than with this picture I took of Caerphilly castle this week.

I’m so glad we found this town, we moved here with nothing and nobody and made a home and started a family of our own. Even if we move away in the future I think a part of me will always consider Caerphilly my home.

Until the next post,

Are and Pops.

  1. Love this. Made me think of these words from Ann Voskamp “And, you know, sometimes home isn’t a place you find — but home becomes the place wherever you are. And then sometimes home isn’t what you hoped for but Hope can find you anywhere”. Glad you found home right where you are.

  2. Never been to Caerphilly I’m afraid. In fact I mistook this for Bodiam Castle in Sussex at first (apologies!). You make Caerphilly sound very appealing. Must try to visit. #MySundayPhoto

  3. I’d recognise that castle anywhere having lived in Caerphilly for a year. We started life in South Wales in Caerphilly and it’ll always hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for sharing! #mysundayphoto

    1. Its really nice inside, i think it’s definitely more impressive from the outside though! we’ll hopefully go in again this summer and i’ll be sure to blog about it 🙂

  5. We love Caerphilly Castle. We moved to Cardiff over 40 years ago with nothing. Just a backpack full of our clothes. We had two children here and my son and grandson live in Caerphilly. They love it #MySundayPhoto
