Eating at Prezzo #Prezzolafamiglia

As much as I always say we shouldn’t (for both my weight and our wallets) we end up eating out every weekend. I love being able to spend time out as a family with food that I haven’t had to cook (or clean up after) so when we saw the #prezzolafamiglia campaign I jumped at it.

We’ve never eaten in Prezzo before but made plans to go to the Cardiff store to enjoy the meal and see what they had to offer. MM was doing his flying lesson in Bristol so we decided to head to the Bristol Prezzo instead and make a day of it there.

THE RESTAURANT

When we walked up to the restaurant I was a little worried, it all looked so nice and fancy – I wasn’t sure how they would react to a very tired toddler. I couldn’t have been more wrong, the lady that served us was lovely and made sure to include Pops in the conversation.

THE FOOD
We were there to try out their sharing meals. There was 4 to choose from but 3 contained meat so that left us with the Penne Arrabiata  – I would have loved a fish / prawn option but the dish we got was incredible!

It is designed to be shared between the family and comes in a big dish for you to serve yourself, it made it very fun and interactive.

The dish was pretty big and would easily feed 2 adults and 2 kids providing your not too greedy (I mean hungry haha)

we also got to try out their garlic bread with our sharing dish and wow! MM is particular with garlic bread and he really enjoy them. We chose one with cheese and one without and could have easily eaten more of them.

When we ordered our drinks they come in frosted glasses, I don’t think I’ve ever had that before and it really impressed me (maybe more than it should have?) I love little touches like that.

After we demolished the pasta dish and garlic bread it was time for desert – pops picked strawberry ice cream, MM went for melon and Lime sorbet and I chose the salted caramel and chocolate sorbet…Unfortunately they had a freezing hiccup so it wasn’t solid, the woman ended up using it as a sauce over their normal chocolate ice cream and it was SO good. I’m so glad it ended up like that because not only was the ‘sauce’ amazing, the chocolate ice cream was definitely one of the best I’ve tried.

Eating at prezzo

Overall we had such a nice meal and will definitely be going back (maybe to the Cardiff one next time because it’s closer) I’ll just make sure Pops has a nap before we go next time!

Have you ever eaten at Prezzo or tried their sharing meals??

Until the next post,
Are and pops.
